Marshall player's family says he was paralyzed from waist down in shooting
BALTIMORE, Md. (WCHS/WVAH) —
A Marshall University football player was seriously injured in a shooting during a New Year's Eve party in Maryland.
Larry Aaron is a freshman defensive tackle from Columbia, Md. His family said he is paralyzed from the waist down after he was shot in the back by an apparent stray bullet.
Aaron is now at the University of Maryland Medical Center with doctors hopeful he may one day be able to recover.
Coach Doc Holliday offered his thoughts and prayers to Aaron and his family, saying his Herd family is supporting them. A go-fund-me account has been setup by his family to help cover medical expenses.
