Sissonville improved to 4-1 on the season with a come from behind win over Herbert Hoover (1-4) in our Wendy’s Friday Night Rivals Game of the Week presented by Marshall Sports Medicine Institute.

Herbert Hoover jumped out to an early lead after scoring on its first drive of the game when quarterback Rhett White connected with Zach Spencer for a 31-yard touchdown.

Scoring would be hard to come by in this rivalry match up, but Sissonville finally got on the board late in the third quarter.

Indians quarterback Will Hackney dove into the end zone from the 4-yard line to get Sissonville on the board, but a missed extra point will keep the Huskies in the lead, 7-6.

Midway through the fourth quarter, Hackney connected with wide receiver Mayson Miller who made a great catch in the back of the end zone to put the Indians up 12-7.

A successful 2-point conversion put the Indians up by the final margin, 14-7.

Hackney, who provided both of Sissonville’s touchdowns was named the Five Star Chevrolet Player of the Game.
