    Capital High School edged Morgantown to make it to the semifinals of the West Virginia boys high school basketball tournament.

    In quarterfinal Class AAA action, the Cougars got by the Mohigans 50-47 Thursday at the Charleston Coliseum.

    Capital was paced by Covante Duncan, who scored 17 points, and K.J. Figures, who chipped in 14 points.

    Meanwhile, Morgantown was led by Garrett Haines, who scored 15 points. Cam Selders scored 12 points.

    Capital will play in the semifinals 5:30 p.m. Friday against Martinsburg, which defeated Parkersburg South 69-48 on Wednesday.
