WVU student in critical condition after reportedly falling from balcony
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Morgantown police said a West Virginia University student is in critical condition after reportedly falling backwards over a balcony located more than 30 feet above the ground.
Colton Hodge, 22, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital and had emergency surgery, according to information posted by police on the city of Morgantown’s website.
Police responded about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday to a report about a fall that occurred at 400 Forest Avenue.
When police arrived, they found Morgantown firefighters and Monongalia County emergency medical service personnel providing emergency medical treatment to a male who had fallen.
