A woman was taken to the hospital after a crash Tuesday morning on Campbell's Creek Drive.

It happened in the 1700 block of Tad, just before 8 a.m.

Deputies say a woman was driving a rented Toyota Corolla and was trying to pass a school bus in front of her. She then went over the yellow center line and collided head on with a coal truck.

"The red car was swerving behind my cousin’s school bus,” Jasmine Browning, a witness, said. “She kept swerving, trying to pass the school bus. She swerved into the other lane and that’s when the coal driver was coming this way, and she slammed into it, and then her car flipped."

The driver of the coal truck did not need medical attention.
