CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) -- The West Virginia State Police enlisted some fresh faces for its 67th cadet class Monday morning.
The cadets began testing Aug. 2018 where they learn the ins and outs of becoming a state trooper and took their oath Monday morning.
The cadets that make it all the way through training are scheduled to graduate in June.
“I'm feeling curious about what is going to happen, but I'm also happy to be stepping into this position and making my family proud at the same time,” Jaquan Ayers of Hinton said.
2019 is the 100th year of the WVSP.
