West Virginia Regional Jail Authority gets new superintendent
BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
The Western Regional Jail and Correctional Facility has a new superintendent.
A spokesman for the West Virginia Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety, Lawrence Messina, told Eyewitness News Anthony Leonard has been named the interim superintendent.
This comes after former superintendent Kim Wolfe was terminated Thursday.
Wolfe said he was handed a letter and told while it was nothing personal, the Regional Jail Authority was "going in a different direction".
Wolfe was an at-will employee.
