Troopers say man charged with sexual assault of child in Wayne County
DUNLOW, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
West Virginia State Police said a Wayne County man is facing charges in the sexual abuse of a child.
Terry Likens, 69, of Dunlow is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault and two counts of sexual abuse by a person in a position of trust, according to criminal complaints filed in Wayne County Magistrate Court.
Troopers said they began an investigation in March after a 9-year-old girl was treated at a health care facility. Troopers said they spoke with the victim who said she had been abused for about two years. Troopers said they interviewed the suspect who denied the abuse.
Likens was taken to the Western Regional Jail on Friday but was released Saturday.
