Suspect charged in shooting in Scioto County

    The Portsmouth Police Department said a man wanted in connection to a shooting turned himself into police Monday.

    Police said Michael A. Mosely, 24, of West Portsmouth was charged with felonious assault, according to police.

    Police said they responded to the 2400 block of Scioto Trail Road in Portsmouth about 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Police said they found a man had been shot in the head. The victim was treated at Southern Ohio Medical Center and was then released.

    Mosley was taken to the Scioto County Jail.
