A Parkersburg man has been charged with kidnapping after police say a video on social media showed a woman being beat up and taken from a laundromat.

The video shows Quincy Alex Lewis, 32, and Glennel Dorsett approach the victim on July 7 in a Parkersburg laundromat and drag her to the ground by her hair and kick her in the face, according to a news release from the Parkersburg Police Department.

The release said Lewis demanded the victim to leave the business and get into his vehicle. When the victim got into the vehicle and Lewis left, the police were called.

Police located the suspects and the victim near the laundromat and identified all three. After investigating further and interviewing witnesses, a warrant was issued for Lewis’ arrest.

Lewis was arrested Saturday night at his residence. He is charged with kidnapping and is being held the North Central Regional Jail without bond.

Parkersburg police are still searching for Dorsett. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call the Parkersburg Police Department at 304-424-8444.
