Longtime West Virginia radio personality passes away
Family members, friends and fans were mourning the loss of a longtime area radio personality.
Al Woody of WQBE 97.5 passed away Thursday morning, according to a Facebook post from the Charleston radio station.
“R.I.P. Al Woody,” the Facebook post said “We lost Al this morning around 2am. Pray for his wife Dora and his entire family. And pray for us too! It is a sad day at the Rabbit station.”
Woody was a radio legend with a career that spanned decades.
Messages were pouring into the station and on social media as fans reacted to the news of Woody's death.
