BELLE, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — All lanes of I-77 have reopened.
Southbound lanes of I-77 are shutdown near Belle after a tractor-trailer lost a load of glass, which shattered across the roadway.
Dispatchers said a tractor-trailer lost a load of some kind of glass on I-77 near the Belle on-ramp at about 5 p.m.
Shattered glass was spread across the interstate and dispatchers said several drivers have reported flat tires after driving through the impacted area.
Dispatchers said there was also a crash in the area, but it has not been determined if the glass played a part in the crash.
I-77 south is closed between the Belle on ramp and the Yeager Bridge. It is unclear when the roadway will reopen.
