Dunbar's Night Christmas Parade set for Dec. 7

Santa Claus will be coming to town Dec. 7 in Dunbar for the 21st annual Night Christmas Parade.

Kanawha Circuit Judge-elect Tera Salango and Kanawha County Commissioner Ben Salango are the grand marshals.

The parade will line up at 6 p.m. in the Dunbar Shopping Plaza parking lot and the parade begins at 7 p.m.

The parade route will go north on 10th Street, east on Dunbar Avenue, south on 16th Street and west on Myers Avenue until reaching Dunbar City Hall at 12th Street.

After the parade, hot chocolate will be served with Santa during a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at about 7:45 p.m. Carolers also will sing and the mayor will make a statement.

Children may get their photo taken with Santa.
