Cabell County Schools approves 2018-19 calendar, non-traditional instruction days
CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Cabell County Schools will experience non-traditional instruction days for the first time next school year.
The Cabell County Board of Education on Tuesday approved its school calendar for the 2018-19 school year. School for students will begin Aug. 20 and include two non-traditional instruction days where students are given assignments to complete while not at school. Those two days are Nov. 19 and March 25.
This is the first time the district will use the non-traditional instruction day concept. Those days count toward the 180-day requirement, even though students do not report to school on those days.
The last day for students will be May 30. View the approved calendar here.
