Ashland's 'Festival of Trees and Trains' underway
The 33rd annual Festival of Trees and Trains is underway in Ashland, Ky.
The biggest fundraiser of the Paramount Woman's Association showcases trees decorated by businesses organizations and churches that will be auctioned off.
The money raised goes to help maintain the Paramount Arts Center and support youth education programs at the Paramount.
“We have a lot of people that say that this is their family tradition,” Tamme Grubb, festival chair, said. “This is what kicks off the holiday season for most families. If they haven’t come yet they’ll come this upcoming weekend during Thanksgiving.”
Last year more than 16,000 people toured the Trees and Trains.
The festival runs until Nov. 26.
