Ashland woman faces second-degree manslaughter charge after man's suspected overdose

Ashland police said a woman faces charges after officers discovered a man died of a suspected drug overdose.

Jeran L. Dishman of Ashland is charged with second-degree manslaughter, first offense trafficking in controlled substance and trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, according to a news release from the Ashland Police Department.

Police said the arrest follows the discovery of the body of Lawrence M. Hardin of Ashland Monday morning on Floyd Street.

There is an ongoing investigation with the Boyd County Coroner’s Office.
