Eyewitness News had a chance to speak with Paul Davis of Huntington, a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in West Virginia’s 3rd Congressional District.

Davis is running in the Democratic May 8 primary against state Sen. Richard Ojeda, D-Logan; Del. Shirley Love, D-Fayette, of Oak Hill; and Janice “Byrd” Hagerman of Mount Hope.

Eyewitness News has invited the other U.S. House candidates to participate in one-on-one interviews over the next week and will share those interviews online.

Davis was asked about where he stands on such issues as the opioid crisis, the West Virginia economy and jobs, welfare and entitlements and gun control, and why he believes he is the best candidate for the job.

Accompanying this story is the video from the interview with Davis.
