Your Voice, Your Future: Patrick Morrisey, GOP U.S. Senate candidate
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Eyewitness News had a chance to speak with Patrick Morrisey, a Republican candidate in the West Virginia Senate race.
Morrisey, the West Virginia attorney general, is running in the May 8 primary against U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins of Huntington; Don Blankenship of Sprigg in Mingo County; Bo Copley of Delbarton; Tom Willis of Martinsburg; and Jack Newbrough of Weirton.
Eyewitness News has invited the other U.S. House candidates to participate in one-on-one interviews over the next week and will share those interviews online.
Morrisey was asked about where he stands on such issues as the opioid crisis, the West Virginia economy and jobs, welfare and entitlements and gun control, and why he believes he is the best candidate for the job.
Accompanying this story is the video from the interview with Morrisey.
