WV Power: Winning streak is snapped for West Virginia Power

The month of July started on a down note for the Power as they fell to Columbia, 2-0, at Appalachian Power Park.
After a strong finish in June, the West Virginia Power stumbled to begin July.
Riding a three-game winning streak to finish out the month, the Power looked to gain its fourth straight Friday night against the Columbia Fireflies, 2-0.
The loss was the fourth shutout handed out by Power oppostion.
Columbia scored a run in the first and third and that's all it would need.
Starter Bryce Beeler was perfect through three innings and ultimately allowed just three hits and a walk in his first start. Beeler pitched six and third for the winning Fireflies.
The Power record dropped to 5-4 in the second half of the season.
The two square off again on Saturday.
