WV Power: Series ends at 2-all between Power and Hickory
The West Virginia Power set out Monday evening looking to get the best of Hickory in a four-game series for the second time this season.
Despite outhitting the Crawdads, 10-8, Hickory got the best of the Power by a final of 9-2. Thus, the series ends at 2-2.
The Power watched Hickory explode for six runs in the fifth inning.
Meanwhile, the Power could muster only two runs - one each in the sixth and eighth.
The entire South Atlantic League will be off on Tuesday.
The Power will open up a homestand with the Charleston, South Carolina Riverdogs on Wednesday inside Appalachian Power Park.
West Virginia's record is now 13-11 in the SAL's second half and 48-46 overall.
