Mountaineers return to Coliseum for Kansas State contest
MORGANTOWN, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Fresh off its first ever road win against Oklahoma, the West Virginia University men's basketball team returns to the Colisuem Saturday for a noon tip-off against Kansas State.
The Mountaineers, now 19-5 (7-4 in Big 12 action), are ranked No. 13 in the latest AP poll.
Freshman Guard James Bolden scored a career high 17 points in the 61-50 victory against the Sooners, while senior Forward and Morgantown native Nathan Adrian scored 13.
Bob Huggins' squad has won four of the last five games, with the lone loss coming against Oklahoma State on Saturday.
Kansas State is 16-8 in 2017, including 5-6 in Big 12 play. The Wildcats received one vote in Monday's AP poll.
The national anthem will be performed Saturday by Master Gunnery Sergeant Peter Wilson, the Marine Violinist at the White House.
Saturday's game is being broadcast nationally on ESPN.
