McDougle leaving West Virginia football program
Lamonte McDougle is out at West Virginia.
MORGANTOWN, W.Va., (WCHS/WVAH) - Nose guard Lamonte McDougle is leaving West Virginia's football program after the news become public Thursday.
McDougle, a Freshman All-American, had been sitting out of spring practice after shoulder surgery.
The Plantation, FL., native finished his career in Morgantown with 23 tackles and two sacks.
Darius Stills, a Fairmont, W.Va., native is the backup to McDougle on the school's spring roster.
