Marshall hosts Middle Tennessee Saturday in game shown live on FOX 11

Vengeance will be on the mind of the Marshall men's basketball team Saturday in a rematch against Conference USA foe Middle Tennessee that will be shown live on FOX 11.

Tip-off in the contest is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Cam Henderson Center in Huntington.

Marshall lost 69-57 to the Blue Raiders on Jan. 12 in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Thundering Herd's 57 points in that game were the team's lowest total since a March 11, 2015 loss to Western Kentucky in the Conference USA Tournament (59-45).

Coach Dan D'Antoni's team takes some positive momentum into Saturday's game, with two straight wins. Thursday, Marshall topped UAB 74-59 behind a 25 point performance from junior Guard and Charleston native Jon Elmore.

The Herd's record now stands at 15-11, 8-5 in Conference USA play, which is currently tied for third place.

Middle Tennessee enters Saturday's match-up with a 23-4 record, including a conference leading 13-1 record in league play. The Blue Raiders have won three straight games.

Last season the Blue Raiders were Conference USA's lone team to make the NCAA Tournament and they made the most of their opportunity. Middle Tennessee shocked the college basketball world becoming just the eighth No. 15 seed to defeat a No. 2 seed when it defeated Michigan State 90-81 in the first round.
