Grant Shaud was born and raised in Radnor, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the University of Richmond, where he realized he wanted to pursue acting. In 1984, he moved to New York to begin a career in theater and soon landed roles in "Today I Am A Fountain Pen" and Harvey Fierstein's "Torch Song Trilogy" on Broadway. His additional theater credits include starring roles in "Four Dogs and a Bone," "Pilgrims," "Cutthroat," "Dipthong," "A Ripe Banana," "Laughing Wild," "Out" and "Expecting Bobby."
Shaud is recognized as Miles Silverberg, "FYI's" executive producer on the hit series "Murphy Brown." He also starred opposite Gabriel Byrne in the comedy "Madigan Men." Additionally, he appeared in the critically acclaimed cable miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon."
In 1987, Shaud landed his first film role in "Wall Street" for director Oliver Stone. His additional feature credits include roles in "The Distinguished Gentleman," "January Man," "Bad Dates" and the animated film "Antz." He also starred opposite Will Ferrell in the independent film "Men Seeking Women."
Shaud divides his time between New York City and Los Angeles.
