Dale Gribble Himself on King Of The Hill Dale is Hank's closest neighbor and one of his best friends, even though Hank won't confide in him and knows better than to trust him. Dale appreciates that Hank stuck by him after he bred and distributed ants in a vengeful effort to destroy Hank's lawn. That's all part of being friends with Dale, who'll readily admit, "You know what I'm like, I'm capable of any crazy thing."Dale is an exterminator by trade who's developed his own insecticide, which he has been unable to successfully market because it's mainly gasoline. Well, all gasoline. Dale believes everything he sees on the "The X-Files," as well as many other conspiracies. He doesn't trust any large organizations, with the possible exception of the American Tobacco Institute. Among the things Dale knows for a fact are L. Ron Hubbard was killed by fire ants and Bob Dole is faking that dead arm. Dale and his wife, Nancy, have one son, Joseph, who can often be found hocking loogies off of highway overpasses with Bobby Hill. Although Nancy has long suffered from debilitating headaches, she's making good progress thanks to John Redcorn, her Native American healer, and Dale has not let this infirmity kill the romance in their marriage. Sometimes, in the middle of the night, Dale will tiptoe across the hall and knock on the door to Nancy's room. And after she does him the courtesy of straightening up, well, she unlocks that door. Oh yes.
