Kathy Kinney Mimi Bobeck on The Drew Carey Show
Kathy Kinney began her career in New York City performing improvisation at local comedy clubs. In 1986, her friend, Bill Sherwood, wrote the film, "Parting Glance," and cast Kinney in the movie. That opportunity led to other job offers.In 1987, Kinney moved to Los Angeles. She has guest starred on numerous television series, including "Seinfeld," "The Larry Sanders Show," "Grace Under Fire," "Dream On" and "Fallen Angels." For two seasons, she played Miss Goddard, the town librarian, on "Newhart." Her feature film credits include "Mr. Jones," "This Boy's Life," "Arachnophobia," "Stanley & Iris," "The Linguini Incident," "Three Fugitives," "Scrooged" and "Parting Glances." In addition to her performances in many off-Broadway productions, Kinney's Los Angeles stage credits include Jeffrey Essmann's "Triplets in Uniform" and Bob Koherr's "The Dying Art," as well as "The Woman from Samos," by Menander, and "Casina," by Plautus, at the J. Paul Getty Museum.
