Jeffrey Tambor Jeffrey Tambor's credits span the full range of the entertainment world, from film to television to theater. The multi-talented actor starred as Hank Kingsley on the critically acclaimed series "The Larry Sanders Show" for six successful seasons. He was nominated four times for an Emmy Award, as well as for four CableAce Awards and an American Comedy Award.

Tambor, a native of San Francisco, started studying acting at age 12. He continued to study his craft at San Francisco State, earning his bachelor of arts degree. He went on to complete his master's degree in theater arts at Wayne State University and became a member of the Hilberry Classic Theatre, a repertory company, performing the classics.

He made his film debut with his critically acclaimed performance as Al Pacino's deranged law partner in Norman Jewison's 1979 film, "And Justice For All." His additional film credits include "There's Something About Mary," "Pollack," "Dr. Doolittle," "Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas," "Girl Interrupted," "Meet Joe Black," "City Slickers," "Malibu's Most Wanted," "Mr. Mom," "Pastime," "Crossing the Bridge," "Article 99," Mel Brooks' "Life Stinks," "Three O'Clock High," "Saturday the 14th," "Lisa," "No Small Affair," "Face Dancer," "Under Pressure," "A House in the Hills," George Lucas' "Radio and Murders," "Heavyweights," "Big Bully," and "Learning Curves." Tambor recently wrapped production on the film "Hellboy" and starred in the offbeat romantic comedy film "Never Again." He will also be seen in the upcoming film "Hairy Tale."

Tambor has starred in numerous cable movies, including "The Man Who Captured Eichmann," opposite Robert Duvall, and "Weapons of Mass Distraction." He recently starred in the telefilm "Eloise at the Plaza" and "Eloise at Christmastime" opposite Christine Baranski and Julie Andrews. His additional network television movies and miniseries credits include "Burden of Proof," "R.F.K.," "Sadat," "Cocaine: Another Man's Poison," "Take Your Best Shot," "Alcatraz: The Untold Story," "Billy Grier, Billy Grier," "Honey, Let's Kill the Neighbors" and the syndicated action-comedy movie "Another Midnight Run: The Tender Trap," based on characters from the hit feature film "Midnight Run."

His television credits include regular and recurring stints on such series as "Hill Street Blues," "L.A. Law," "American Dreamer," "Studio 5B" and "Max Headroom." He starred in his own series, "Mr. Sunshine," and guest-starred in the "Dead Right" episode of HBO's horror anthology series, "Tales From the Crypt," as well as the PBS special, "Living and Working in Space: The Countdown Has Begun" and HBO's "Comic Relief VI." He has guest-starred on numerous popular series of the '80s and '90s, including "M*A*S*H," "Barney Miller," "The Golden Girls," "Empty Nest," "Who's the Boss," "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "Equal Justice," "Murder, She Wrote" and a special with singer Phil Collins. He recently appeared on the series "The Practice."

Tambor has also appeared extensively on stage, starring on Broadway in "Sly Fox," directed by Arthur Penn; off-Broadway in the New York Shakespeare Festival's production of "Measure For Measure" and the Los Angeles productions of "Sly Fox," "The Hands Of Its Enemy," "Flea in Her Ear" and "American Mosaic." In 1995, he starred onstage in Anton Chekhov's timeless classic "The Seagull," at The Matrix Theatre in Los Angeles. Tambor directed Lanford Wilson's "Burn This" at the Skylight Theatre in Los Angeles. Over the course of his impressive theatrical career, he acted and directed at such prestigious regional theater companies as Seattle Repertory Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Academy Festival Theatre in Chicago, San Diego Shakespeare Festival, South Coast Repertory Theatre and the Loeb Drama Center at Harvard University. His work on the regional stage spanned theatrical styles ranging from such classic playwrights as Shakespeare, Moliere and Chekhov to more contemporary works.

Tambor lives in Los Angeles with his wife.
