Troopers say woman killed in vehicle crash in Elliott County, Ky.

Kentucky State Police said a woman died in a two-vehicle crash in Elliott County.

Toni Lawhorn, 38, of Sandy Hook died Thursday, according to a news release from State Police.

Troopers said the accident happened about 4:45 p.m. Thursday on KY 7 outside of Sandy Hook. Troopers said Lawhorn was traveling north on KY 7 and crossed the center line. Troopers said Lawhorn's vehicle truck a sport utility vehicle head-on. The driver and a passenger of the second vehicle was airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center.

The Elliott County Coroner's Office pronounced Lawhorn dead at the scene.

Troopers were assisted by Elliott County EMS, Sandy Hook Fire Department, Isonville Fire Department, Morgan County EMS and AJR Evac at the scene
