Teams use "yes, we can" approach to help Covenant House
CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
The Clay Center is full of creative "can"-sculptures this week.
The items used to build them will go to others in need. Teams used more than 18,000 cans of food to build eight structures.
On Wednesday, the cans will be given to the Covenant House food pantry. The structures will provide more than 14,000 meals for those who need it in Kanawha County -- enough food to stock Covenant House for three months.
This is the 10th year for the Canstruction event.
