State fire marshals make arson arrests in Mingo County
MINGO COUNTY, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Multiple arson arrests were made in Mingo County last week.
Kevin Edward Urban, 18 of Delbarton, was charged with second-degree arson for setting fire at the Library Annex of the former Burch High School, according to a Facebook post by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office. A juvenile male also will be charged in connection with the fire, the post said.
Assistant State Fire Marshal Larry Hamrick arrested Urban Oct. 5. Urban was arraigned by a Mingo County magistrate and later released, according to the post.
On Oct. 6, Donovan Leon Lester, 25, of Baisden was arrested on a charge of first-degree arson. Lester is accused of setting his Baisden Road double-wide mobile home on fire on March 8, officials said. Lester was arraigned and is being held at the South Western Regional Jail on a $15,000 or 10 percent cash bond.
