Anyone planning a vacation but is short on cash wouldn’t have to consider thumbing a ride and staying in a low-budget motel if they had this payday.

The estimated Powerball jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is at $228 million after no one had the winning numbers on Wednesday, according to the lottery’s website. Powerball said the cash value of the jackpot is $139.6 million.

If you’re checking your tickets, the winning numbers were 4, 11, 39, 45 and 48 with a Powerball of 9. There were no Match 5 Power Play winners of $2 million or Match 5 $1 million Powerball winners.

West Virginia has had some success in Powerball. On May 4, Tim and Jo Varca of Shinnston were at the state lottery headquarters in Charleston to claim their $1 million prize. The couple’s winning ticket was on the floor of a truck for a day before Tim Vara picked it up and checked the numbers.

In January, Tommy and Martha Robinson of Princeton claimed a Match 5 $2 million prize. Their prize was doubled to $2 million because they paid an extra dollar for the Power Play option when purchasing their ticket.
