New business could bring 200 jobs to Ironton, Ohio

A new business that could eventually bring about 200 jobs has announced its plans to locate to Ironton, Ohio.

Green EnviroTech Holdings Corp. (GETH) signed a building lease with the Lawrence Economic Development Corp. for a plant, according to news release from GETH . The GETH Carbon Finishing Plant will start construction at the site of the former DOW Ethafoam location that includes the option to use three buildings.

The site can accommodate more than 200 jobs, although about 20 are expected in the initial stages.

The business focuses on sustainable development by finding and implementing practical, economical solutions that will clean up the environment. The company's technology can convert waste into valuable products.

GETH is based in Jamestown, Calif.

The Lawrence Economic Development Corp. is a nonprofit organization that helps to create jobs within the county.
