Name of teacher who died after found unresponsive released
SOPHIA, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
The name of the Raleigh County teacher who died after being found unresponsive in a classroom has been released.
Kimberly Campbell, 54, a special education teacher at Independence High School in Sophia, was pronounced dead early Monday at Raleigh General Hospital, WVVA reported.
The teacher was in a meeting about 8 a.m. when she excused herself to go to her classroom. She was found unconscious a few minutes later by a teacher and a student. Emergency responders transported her to the hospital.
Students were dismissed from classes about 11:30 a.m.
