Man accused of driving under the influence, hitting school bus with vehicle
LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Chapmanville’s police chief said a man faces charges after he was accused of driving under the influence and hitting a Logan County school bus.
Nicholas Strunk is charged with DUI and failure to maintain control after an incident that took place about 7 a.m. Tuesday on Crawley Creek Road, Chapmanville Police Chief Al Browning said.
No students were on board the bus, and the driver of the bus and Strunk were not injured.
Police believe Strunk was under the influence of drugs and said he had just got off work at a convenience store.
The road had to be shut down for a while to two both vehicles, but the road has since reopened.
