Logan homeowner shoots two people during attempted home invasion

Logan police said two people were shot during a home invasion early Saturday morning.

Hakeem Norman, Cody Tomblin and Kareem Wyche tried breaking into a home on Pine Street in Logan early Saturday morning when the homeowner shot Norman and Tomblin, according to police.

Norman and Tomblin were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released to the Southwestern Regional Jail with Wyche.

Norman is charged with unlawful assault, nighttime burglary, conspiracy and assault during the commission of a felony.

Tomblin is charged with conspiracy, nighttime burglary and unlawful assault.

Wyche is charged with conspiracy, nighttime burglary and unlawful assault. He was also wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Police said the homeowner acted in self defense and is not facing any charges.

Logan police are continuing to investigate the incident.
