LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
West Virginia State Police said a Lincoln County man faces multiple charges after he was accused of sexually assaulting a boy.
Michael D. Crawford, 46, of Ranger is charged with 24 counts of first-degree sexual assault, according to a criminal complaint filed in Lincoln County Magistrate Court.
State Police said the boy’s mother called an officer on Jan. 7 after her son said Crawford had forced him to perform sexual acts multiple times.
The boy was interviewed by State Police and told a trooper that Crawford had sexually assaulted him and made him perform sexual acts, the complaint said.
Crawford is currently lodged at the Western Regional Jail, where he is being held on a $250,000 cash only bond. Crawford will appear in magistrate court Feb. 14 for a preliminary hearing.
