Landslip repair completed on road in Huntington
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
Work to repair a landslip that resulted in the closure of a Huntington road was completed.
Norway Avenue between Forest Road and Stamford Park Drive reopened Friday morning.
The road was closed in mid-February after heavy rains caused the hillside fell onto the road. The property was owned by Woodmere Park Cemetery. Work began two weeks ago to fix the slip.
More than 2,700 tons of stone was placed on the hillside along a 172-foot stretch of land to stabilize it.
