Kanawha deputies to conduct DUI checkpoint in Institute
INSTITUTE, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Kanawha County deputies will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint.
The checkpoint will be operating from 7 p.m. to midnight Wednesday, March 22, on state Route 25 near Institute, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
The news release said the sheriff’s office has a zero tolerance to impaired driving. Deputies randomly conduct checkpoints and targeted patrols throughout the year.
The patrols are made possible through a partnership with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.
