Fire destroys house in Charleston
CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Charleston firefighters spent Friday morning battling a house fire in the 800 block of Chappell Road.
The fire started about 4:30 a.m.
It took more than an hour and a half to get the flames under control.
Firefighters had to cut down trees to get to the home. They also used a ladder sprayer to squash the flames.
No one was home at the residence. Neighbors said the house was vacant.
