The Federal Bureau of Investigation said the search continues for convicted Kentucky lawyer Eric C. Conn who disappeared after removing his ankle monitor two weeks ago.

FBI agents searched the Eric C. Conn Law Complex and Conn's mother's house Thursday in Stanville, according to EKB News. On Friday, the FBI held a press conference at its headquarters in Louisville. The nature of the investigation was not disclosed.

Agents said charges may be filed for possible co-conspirators. The FBI believes Conn is still in the U.S.

Conn pleaded guilty to theft and bribery charges in March for his role in a scheme to defraud the Social Security Administration. Authorities said Conn cut off his ankle bracelet in early June. He is scheduled for sentencing on July 14.
