With all of the misery caused by Hurricane Harvey, Sinclair Broadcasting, the parent company of WCHS-TV and WVAH-TV, is asking viewers to give from the heart.

Sinclair is partnering with the Salvation Army to collect donations for flood relief as thousands of people in Texas seek shelter from the devastating disaster. The donation drive – “Sinclair Cares: Standing Strong for Texas” – will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 1.

Viewers can donate during business hours on Friday at our studios in Charleston, 1301 Piedmont Road, and in Huntington, 1002 Fourth Ave.

Contributions should be made by writing a check addressed to: Salvation Army Hurricane Harvey. Please write Sinclair Cares in the memo section. No cash will be accepted.

Sinclair will match up to $100,000.

People across the country have been wondering what they can do to help as the horrifying images of Harvey’s aftermath have been shared. Friday is an opportunity for Eyewitness News viewers to show just how much they care.
