Estimated Mega Millions, Powerball jackpots top $300 million

Lottery fever just went up a few degrees.

The estimated jackpots for Mega Millions and Powerball have soared over $300 million after no one won the major prizes over the weekend.

Mega Millions estimated jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing is at $346 million with a cash option of $216 million, according to the lottery’s website.

Powerball’s estimated jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing is $307 million with a cash option of $193.2 million, according to the lottery’s website.

Some Powerball players reeled in some major cash Saturday, even though no one landed the giant jackpots. There were two Match 5 Power Play winners of $2 million – in Kansas and Texas. Winning $1 million Match 5 tickets were sold in Illinois, New York and Pennsylvania.

Drawings for Mega Millions are held on Tuesday and Friday, while Powerball drawings are Wednesday and Saturday. The next drawings will be at 11 p.m. on the games’ respective days, and tickets must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. on the days of the drawings. Mega Millions tickets are $1 each, and Powerball tickets are $2 each.
