Deer stolen from Kentucky hunter
FLOYD COUNTY, KY (WCHS/WVAH) —
A deer hunter in Kentucky said someone stole his trophy buck.
The Floyd County man said he brought home a deer of a lifetime from his annual hunting trip, but when he woke up Sunday morning, the buck was gone.
Alfred Newsome said he heard a car go by his house around 2 a.m. but didn't think anything of it. When he went outside, he noticed someone had stolen his deer that was hanging up just a few feet from his door.
“They came and cut the straight, left the keys sitting in the four wheeler,” he said. “There was a rifle sitting on the porch so they were after that buck.”
The value of the deer is $750 so someone may be facing felony charges. Newsome said he won't press charges, he just wants the deer back.
